The Biennial of Cerveira Creative Industries Incubator was approved by the Northern Region Creative Industries Cluster Supporting System (ON.2), Physical Infra-structures. This incubator is a natural development and consequence of the Biennial of Cerveira consolidation process, as a framework capable of fostering the economic impact, as far as value and employment creation, creativity and culture are concerned.

With regard to the typologies in the Creative Development of Spaces, the Biennial of Cerveira Creative Industries Incubator, notwithstanding its designation of incubator, includes two of the three typologies:

• It is a creative businesses incubator that seeks to provide services and support of added value to entrepreneurs aiming beyond the mere availability of spaces. Thus, it provides a diversified offer that includes consultancy, coaching, and training in marketing, management, finances, taxes, and also technical, technological and artistic development;

• Furthermore, it is an Interdisciplinary Space for Creative Meeting and Convergence, thus benefitting of the partners’ competences, namely of those of higher education institutes, which, within the incubator program, will play a key role in its success and in that of the incubated start-ups. On the other hand, the fact that the incubator is linked to the Biennial, and is managed by the Foundation that organizes the event, caters for and enhances the creation of an atmosphere of production and fruition, encourages the public and consumers of cultural products, and increases the chain of value, namely by the jointure of sub-sectors.
